how we authenticate
We conduct a thorough review on every item that we receive. It includes a detailed evaluation of the following:
- Ownership and history
- Manufacturing materials
- Craftsmanship
- Materials
- Hardware (if applicable)
- Stitching (if applicable)
- Pattern alignment
- Brand/Logo stamp
- Serial numbers and date codes
- Dust bags, boxes, and other included accessories (if applicable)
- Third party confirmation (if applicable)
Ownership, Paperwork, history
Our goal is to not only identify and weed out counterfeits, but also to identify stolen designer goods, as this issue has been equally as important to us. Part of our authentication process is to ask for any available paperwork and receipts that the customer has for each item being sold. As such, we typically get can sell most of our items with the proper original paperwork.
